Jeremy Bruner

I am currently a Kansas State University Distance Education student working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Technology Management. I am also a Business Analyst and Assistant Vice President at Bank of the West in Wichita.

About me

My hometown is Augusta, Kansas and I have lived in the Wichita metro area since birth. As a life-long Kansas resident, I have lived in Augusta, Emporia, and Derby.


I am a graduate of Augusta High School and a National Honor Society member. I have an Associate of Arts Degree from Butler Community College in Secondary Education and Mass Communication. I became a member of Phi Theta Kappa honor society. I also attended Emporia State University.


As a Business Analyst, I act as a liaison between business units and programmers to assist with Business Requirements, Service Requests, Help Desk Tickets, and Trouble-shooting. I support the Bank's eCommerce, and Data Mart functions. In addition to the analyst functions, I am also an administrator for Crystal Enterprise (a server-based delivery platform for Crystal Reports), a Crystal Reports author, and an Intermediate level SQL programmer and MS Access expert.


Prior to my role as Business Analyst, I was the Manager of the Kansas Agent Network at Bank of the West. The Agent Network was comprised of contracted business owners throughout the state of Kansas that represented the Bank in small towns without traditional branches. Before managing the Agent Network, I held the position of Assistant Regional Customer Service Manager for the branches in Kansas. The ARCSM was responsible for scheduling and conducting training, reviewing branches for operational soundness and compliance, assisting branches with all operational, sales, and service questions, and leading campaigns to encourage achievement of sales and referral goals.

I have also worked at Walmart as a Support Manager. As Support Manager, I supervised the associates on duty during my shift. This included all hourly associates: sales floor, inventory control, stockers, maintenance, cashiers, service desk, customer service managers, etc. The Support Manager is responsible for the cleanliness of the store, expedient customer service throughout the store, freight being properly worked from the trucks and stockrooms to the floor nightly, and maintaining proper staffing coverage in all departments and areas of the store.
